Finding Carolina Hideaway
From I-77
From I-77, go west at exit 36 (Mooresville). Proceed 7 miles to the light at Sherrill’s Ford Road (at Terrell General Store). Turn right onto Sherrill’s Ford. Proceed 2.5 miles to Island Point Drive (Sherrill’s Ford Elementary School will be on your left). Turn right and go 3 miles to Camden Pointe Drive. Take a right onto Camden Pointe and go ½ mile to the end of the cul-de-sac. Proceed through cul-de-sac up the long driveway to Carolina Hideaway.
From I-40
From I-40, take Oxford School Road south (exit 138). Follow signs to Catawba. Oxford School Road becomes NC-10.Go through Catawba and turn left onto 2nd street. Proceed for approximately 1 mile. At intersection where you can go veer left or right (or make a hard left or right turn), “veer” right onto Lowrance road (do not make the “hard” right). Lowrance road will dead end into Sherrill’s Ford in 3 miles. Go left on Sherrill’s Ford (also called Gabriel or NC 1848). Follow it 6 miles to Island Point and make a left (Sherrill’s Ford Elementary School will be on your right). Turn left and go 3 miles to Camden Pointe Drive. Take a right onto Camden Pointe and go ½ mile to the end of the cul-de-sac. Proceed up the long driveway to Carolina Hideaway.
From Charlotte Airport
Take Billy Graham Parkway north to I-85. Take I-85N (heading NE) for approximately 4 miles. Exit onto I-16 North. Take I-16N for approximately 30 minutes to Route 150 East (look for a Hardees on the right at 150). Go right on 150 and proceed about 5 miles. Take a left at the light at Sherrill’s Ford Road (Post Office and Country Store on your left) . Proceed 2 miles to Island Point Drive (Sherrill’s Ford Elementary School will be on your left). Turn right and go 3 miles to Camden Pointe Drive. Take a right onto Camden Pointe and go ½ mile to the end of the cul-de-sac. Proceed up the long driveway to Carolina Hideaway.
